To undertake the supervision and inspection of the cleaning of designated areas within the site, to ensure that they meet the terms of the cleaning specification for the establishment.  To undertake Janitorial duties as per the site specification.

Duties Include

• Security of the premises including the operation of fire and burglar alarms.  You would also be a designated key holder.
• Daily supervision of cleaning assistants (if employed at the site) including the preparation of any related paperwork.
• The maintenance of correct levels and use of materials and the safe use of machines and equipment.
• Maintain the correct levels of materials and equipment.
• Keeping external areas of the premises clean and tidy and free from debris.
• Portering and handy person duties as specified by the site specification.
• Various Janitorial duties as specified by the site specification.
• Cleaning of a designated area within the site, which may include, classrooms, craft rooms, toilet areas, corridors and offices.
• Day to day liaison with the Head of establishment to ensure an adequate level of service being maintained.
• From time to time you may be required to assist with trials of new machinery and chemicals and to provide written feedback of comments.
• Ensure that all legal, fire and safety requirements are adhered to by all staff.
• Any other duties that would reasonably be expected of the postholder.
