As in past years, we will be serving a tasty traditional Christmas 2-course lunch with Roast Turkey and all the trimmings! and Christmas Pudding with Winter Warmer Sauce for dessert. The Christmas lunch is our most anticipated lunch of the year and is enjoyed by both the pupils and the staff in our schools. In Bridgend we have put a great deal of time, effort and money into creating healthy menus and promoting the healthy choices to pupils.
It is our aim to ensure that all pupils can be provided with a healthy, nutritious meal and that vegetarians and those on special diets are also catered for. Our meals are freshly prepared daily, taste great and are great value for money!
For just £1.90 per day pupils receive a main meal, dessert and cold drink of milk or water.
Pupils can choose from 2 tasty hot meal options as well as selecting from our Salad Bars.
Our menu is run on a 3 week rotational cycle with a strong focus on fresh fruit, vegetables and salads. Our commitment to healthy eating is reflected in the products we use, with most containing reduced saturated fat, sugar and salt. Good practice ensures all foods are oven baked or steamed, except chips which are served only once a week on a Friday. Also available daily:
Fresh Fruit, Wholemeal Bread, Yoghurt, Cheese & Biscuits, Ice Cream, Milk and Water.

The menu shown below is typical of what is available every school day in primary schools throughout the Bridgend Borough. The menu will be repeated every three weeks ensuring variety and choice. All of the meals are freshly prepared daily. Occasionally due to circumstances beyond our control it may be necessary to change or replace some menu items or ingredients. If you require more detailed information, please contact us.
