Bridgend School meals are challenging primary pupils to put their knowledge of healthy eating to the test by coming up with a tasty yet nutritious school meal which will be added to their school menu for one week. The winner will also win a fantastic salad bar for their school dining hall and a family pass to Techinquest Cardiff.
Catering Services are looking for a school meal that has low salt, fat and sugar and most importantly includes plenty of fruit and vegetables. Entries must be handed into their school by the 20th of October.
Norma Griffiths, Group Manager of Catering Services “The competition is designed to inspire and motivate children to think more about the food they eat, this is a fun way to educate the children in line with the National Curriculum. I can’t wait to see what imaginative menus the children will submit and to taste the winning entry”
