Well done to Felicity Williams –Sarll from Nottage Primary school who recently won Catering Services Design a Healthy School Dinner Competition. Pupils from Bridgend were invited to design a healthy school dinner including a main meal with at least 3 vegetables and a dessert. The idea behind the competition was to encourage pupils to think about what foods they are eating and to be able to identify a healthy balance of foods.
Catering Services were delighted with the positive response to the competition. The pupils attention to detail, creativity and knowledge was exceptional and a credit to both parents/guardians and Bridgend schools.
Felicity’s delicious menu included Wholemeal pancakes Filled with diced organic carrots, sauté onions, quorn piece and diced green beans Topped with grated cheese and humous Served with broccoli, peas and roast potatoes
Dessert Apple, raisin and honey flapjack with ground sesame on sunflower seeds.
Owain the Owl presented Felicity with a family pass to Techinquest, Cardiff a £20 sports voucher and a fantastic £50 book voucher for Nottage primary school. Well done to Felicity and to all runners up.
