...With low-fat health foods, Fa La La La La La La La La!

Primary school children across Bridgend county borough are being asked to design a Christmas decoration with a difference in the latest healthy initiative from Catering Services. 

Pupils have to make a tree decoration highlighting the importance of eating healthily to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes from the Odeon Cinema in Bridgend. 

1st place will win a VIP family ticket to a film of their choice with free drinks and goody bags 

PLUS 

1 pupil from every school will win 2 tickets to a film of their choice. 

The decorations can be made out of health food packages, such a yoghurt pots or fruit cartons, or even play-doh or plastacine!  The more creative the better!!!!  But no perishable foods can be used. 

All entries will be put on display on a Christmas tree in Bridgend Recreation Centre over the holiday period for people to visit.

“With Christmas just around the corner, we wanted our latest healthy eating initiative to have a festive feel.  And what better way than by decorating a Christmas tree!  Not only will it bring out the inner artist in every child, but it will also encourage them to think about what is classed as a “healthy food” and why. 

Thanks must be given to the Odeon Cinema for donating such fantastic prizes.  Without their generosity, we would not be able to run our healthy initiatives which enable us to encourage the children of Bridgend county borough to make the right choices when it comes to healthy living.
