School pupils across Brudgend county borough have been encouraging people to "go green" and recycle inthe latest initiative form the school meals service.

Children in primary and secondary schools were asked to design a poster showing what can be recycled from our kitchens to try and win some BIG PRIZES!

PLUS
4
runners up each received a £10 gift voucher for WOOLWORTHS:

Alex King from Croesty Primary School
Maddison-Rose Thomas from Cwmfelin Primary School
Tristan Sealey from Maesteg Comprehensive Lower School
Yahna Hart from Maesteg Comprehensove Lower School

Norma Griffiths, Group Manager of Catering Services:

"With news reports almost daily highlighting the damage we are doing, and have done, to the planet, now is the time to start thinking about how we can "do our bit" to save the Earth.  By asking the children in Brudgend to take a look at the items in their kitchen and decide what can and can't be recycled, we hope that they will think twice before throwing something away that can be reused.

I would like to thank TASK FORCE, WOOLWORTHS and PLAYZONE for donating their brilliant prizes.  Without their generosity of such businesses we would not be able to offer pupils such excellent incentives,"
