competition you are required to get
permission from a parent, teacher or
guardian. This is because you are asked
to submit information about yourself.
When you complete the competition form
you need to say who gave you their permission.
The information being collected on this
website will only be seen by the producers
of My School Lunch, the provider of
school meals in your school, you local
authority and when requested your school
staff. Any information or opinions you
supply will not be sold to other companies
or used to contact you other than for
the purposes of running the website.
Whilst you are browsing the My School
Lunch website, a cookie is stored on
your computer, this is so that we can
identify your session. Your web browser
destroys this cookie after 20 minutes
of inactivity, or when you close the
web browser application. At no stage
is any personal information stored in
a cookie, or any information that would
allow us to identify you as an individual.
Statistics based on the overall competition
entries may be shared with other local
authorities or suppliers. This will
not state your individual opinion but
an overall opinion of everyone and will
only be used for improving the website
and the school meals service in your
schools.

Data will only be collected from a
child with the permission of a parent,
guardian or teacher. The "Ask
David" section of the website
includes an online competition. To
enter this a child must state they
have asked a parent, guardian or teacher
for their permission to enter. By
giving permission to complete this
form you are giving authorisation
for your child or pupil to take part
in the competition which includes
submission of personal information.
Where personal information is collected
this will not be used for any form
of direct marketing.
