Recipe for Easter Biscuits

Why not cook this Easter recipe at home with your child?

Wholemeal Easter Biscuits

Creates 20 biscuits

Ingredients
Baking Margarine - 450gm
Sugar, Granulated - 450gm
Eggs, Medium - 4 each
Flour, Plain - 450gm
Flour, Wholemeal Plain - 450gm
Currants 220gm
Cinnamon 5gm

Instructions
1. Cream the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy. (Leave 1 tablespoon sugar for
the finish)
2. Gradually add the beaten egg.
3. Fold in the flour, cinnamon and currants.
4. Knead the mixture lightly, roll out thinly and cut into shapes with cutters (rabbits or chicks)
5. Bake in oven Gas Mark 4, 350F, 180C for 15 minutes.
6. When cooked, remove to cooling racks and lightly dust with sugar.
