Priory Junior School in St Neots held a very successful Egyptian Day Lunch on October 13th in conjunction with their Year 3 Egyptian Topic. School Caterer, Sarah Marshall, said that the teachers worked extremely hard with the children on the topic and that the food complemented the theme very well. She thoroughly enjoyed researching the menu from scratch at the library and adapting it to the ingredients available in the school kitchen.
The children loved the variety and colourful menu, with the Red Peppers stuffed with Couscous and Semolina Cake being particularly successful. The children and catering staff were delighted to have so many teachers join them for lunch. Denyse Bennett, Contract Manager from CCS, and Jane Forrester, Catering Supervisor, also joined the school for lunch and were thrilled that the event was such a success. Well done!!
