As part of National Customer Services Week 2009, Adrian Loades,  Service Director: Strategy and Commissioning, Children and Young People's Services went 'back to the floor'.

This year's National Customer Service Week (NCSW) took place from Monday 5th to Saturday 10th October 2009.  Activities included Cambridgeshire Together roadshow, volunteering taster sessions, 'Back to the Floor' and team involvement activities.

As part of the 'Back to the Floor' Adrian visited a local Primary School to serve school meals to the children.  The Back to the Floor scheme was a great activity for refreshing  skills in front line services. It enabled some participants to carry out their job more effectively by gaining an understanding of what it is like for front line staff.  Many employees and managers in all services had the chance to go 'back to the floor' for a few hours shadowing or helping in front line services.
