You can't beat a school lunch during the winter!

Now the weather is getting colder it is great to have a tasty hot meal at lunchtime. They always fill me up and give me energy to go out and play afterwards.

There are some great promotions again this term with competitions and prizes.

There is a new menu being served after the half term holidays with plenty of my favourites plus some new dishes that I can't wait to try.  

Walk to School Month

October is walk to school month, we must try to get at least 20 minute of exercise a day even if it includes walking to school.

Did you know, if you walking to school instead of a parent talking you in the car you will also help the environment by cutting down on your carbon footprint. Your carbon footprint is the effect your lifestyle has on the environment for example your carbon dioxide emissions, you can read up on this online. Ask your parents to help you find out about it.

We are running a promotion and tasty themed lunch to promote walking to school. Don't forget if you are hungry when you get to school, some schools are serving breakfast and morning break.

Keep visiting the dining room to see when this is coming to your school.

Bonfire Night 

Remember, remember to keep safe on Bonfire Night. Stay for a school lunch on the 5th November and as well as having a great themed lunch including dishes such as sticky sausages and toffee apple sponge, you will be able to get your Bonfire Code Card which tells you how to stay safe and also has a recipe to make delicious toffee apples.

They can count as one of your five a day!!!

Christmas Lunches  

Wow, is it nearly that time of year already?

Make sure you keep choosing a school lunch to keep updated when our great Christmas Party will be held at your school.

There will be a traditional Christmas Lunch served with all the trimmings and a competition to design a Christmas Card so get your thinking cap on.

David Update

Keep checking out David's swinning pages, he competed in the Bejing Games and won a silver medal for the 10k swim. That's over six miles!!!!!!
