At Cheshire we are dedicated to improving the quality and service we provide. Our menus have now been adapted to comply with the regs and you should now be recieving your copy of "New Improved lunchtime menu" leaflet for the winter term.
The new menu will commence in the new half term. If you haven't recieved your leaflet contact the CBS Helpdesk and one can be sent to your home. Ring 01244 603900.
The nutritional standards have been simplfied and written below.
More Fruit and Vegetables included in every meal:There will be a minimum of two portions per day per child; at least one will be vegetables or salad and at least one will be fruit.
More Oily Fish:Oily fish such as mackerel and salmon should be served at least once every three weeks; however, we serve this once per week. Mackerel and salmon contain Omega-3 oil which of course is essential inour diet, it plays an important role in the immune system, health and development.

No Confectionery or Savoury Snacks will be served at lunchtime: Although in Cheshire these items have never featured on the primary menu, you can beguaranteed that confectionery such as chocolate bars, sweets, crisps and savoury snacks willontinue not to form any part of our meal.
Deep-Fried Foods: Our menus will not contain more than two deep-fried foods, such as chips and batter-coated products, in a single week. At Cheshire they have only featured once in a 3 week menu cycle for some time.
