Councillor Longdon was eager to take part in the fun that was taking place in dining halls across Derbyshire during National School Meals Week from 9th to 13th November. He joined the Pupils at Langley Mill Junior School for lunch where he tucked into Braised Beef and Dumplings, mashed potatoes, cabbage and roast parsnips followed by syrup sponge and custard.
Cllr Longdon commented ‘The food was great, much better than when I was at school and it's healthy, well prepared and from reliable sources too - loved the pud especially. I was impressed with the pride the children took in showing me their school garden . Well done Langley Mill Junior School and the catering team.'
