It's important you take care of your body. When we are young we need lots of energy so we can learn and play at school and at home. Eating the right food is what gives us lots of energy. With Healthy Harry enjoying playing so much sport he needs lots and lots of energy. These are his top ten best tips for a healthy lifestyle.

  1. Before you go to school make sure you eat breakfast.  This is a very important meal as it kick starts out bodies for the rest of the day.  You should never skip breakfast.
  2. Make sure you get your 5-a-day.  This means five portions of fruit and vegetables every day.  Fruit and vegetables give your body the vitamins and minerals it needs.
  3. Eat lots of different types of foods so your body has the balance it needs to give you more energy.
  4. Take plenty of exercise. Not only is exercising really good for our bodies but it makes us feel better and is lots of fun.  It can also be a way to make new friends.
  5. Don't eat too many foods that contain sugar as this is bad for your teeth.
  6. You should drink lots of water so you don't become dehydrated.  It is recommended you drink around six glasses of water a day.
  7. Make sure you eat some food with fibre in as this helps you digest food easier and makes it easier to go to the toilet.
  8. Don't waste money on sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks on the way to and from school.  These foods aren't very good for you and it's better to save your money up so you can buy something special or that you really want.
  9. Brush your teeth every morning and before you go to bed.  This will help prevent you having to go to the dentist for fillings.
  10. Have a healthy school lunch every day.
