School Meal Price Increase |

The Hampshire County Council Executive Member for Education has agreed a meal price increase and so with effect from 21 April 2008, the price will be £1.90 for a pupil meal.The 10p increase is in line with the agreed Hampshire County Council School Meals Strategy, which aims to improve the food and nutritional content of school meals. Such improvement will continue during 2008-09 to meet national standards set out in the government publication "Turning the Tables", first published in September 2005. The decision supports the Corporate Aim of maximising wellbeing by providing school meals with an improved nutritional content.
