Our current menu caters for the anticipated cold and wet weather we usually experience in winter and includes the increased number of roast dinners, which has proved very popular.  In addition, we've added some new choices such as vegetable and bean bake, salmon and sweet potato fish cake and turkey curry.

Hopefully you have a menu leaflet to refer to, but if not, a black and white copy is available.

Please note that our meal price remains at £2.00 and for this, HC3S provides a hot, two course meal.  Each child has the daily option of vegetables and salad with their main item, and of fresh fruit for dessert.  The main item can be a meat or non meat choice and comes with a carbohydrate (i.e. potatoes, rice, pasta).

In April 2011 HC3S was awarded Education Caterer of the Year by Cost Sector Catering.  The judges indicated that our links with local suppliers was a key reason for HC3S being given the award.  HC3S is using local beef, pork, fish, eggs, vegetables, milk and apple juice - and the fish continues to come from sustainable, well managed fisheries.

HC3S continues to ensure the meals provided comply with the Hyperactive Children's Support Group recommendations for removal of certain additives and colourings, and of course, comply with the government's current nutritional standards.

During the spring term, HC3S will be offering schools the option of having theme day lunches of their choice or to take part in this term's regular options of Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Easter.  We hope that parents and children take the opportunity of trying one of these theme days if their school takes part.
