The weather has suddenly taken a cold turn hasn't it!  Ice on the car on the morning and that chill wind as you walk to school or work.

Wouldn't it be nice to look forward to a hot, freshly prepared meal at lunchtime?  A meal that you know has been balanced in terms of nutrients and calories?  Don't people pay lots of money to have chefs make meals like this in the celebrity world?

Well, you don't have to pay lots of money for your child to have such a meal Monday to Friday at school!

HC3S, and all school food caterers, have to comply with the governments standards and these limit the ‘bad' things such as fat, salt and sugar and make sure certain levels of the ‘good' things (protein, calcium, vitamin C for example) are provided.

Each meal provides a third of a child's nutritional requirement for the day, so you don't have to worry about what they are eating and if it is good for them!  We've checked and all our meals are healthy!

The meal price remains at £1.90 and for this, your child will get a hot main course (meat or non-meat option daily), complete with potatoes, rice or pasta and a serving of vegetable.  Dessert is included and this is either a handmade pudding or fresh fruit. 

And, we are pleased to have been approved by the Marine Stewardship Council over the summer as our fish products come from sustainable fisheries.  You will see their logo against our fish option on a Friday and these are the products they have approved.

And, please remember that HC3S we can provide medically requested special diets, so if your child has an allergy, he/she could still have a meal with us.
