Types of posts are:

Customer Service Assistant
You will help prepare and serve meals. Your duties will include setting up the dining areas and washing up. This role is ideal for people who can work as part of a team, have a flexible approach to work and who can communicate effectively with staff and pupils. You will be trained in basic food hygiene. Hours range from 7 -15 per week.

Customer Service Assistant (cash handling)
Duties as above but you must be able to operate a till, taking cash and issue change and cash up at the end of the food service. Hours range from 10 -15 per week.

Mobile Customer Service Assistant
Although based at one school, you must be able to travel to other sites throughout Kirklees. Hours range from 10 - 15 per week

Catering Supervisor (Primary, Middle and Special Schools)
Through your catering team, you will ensure that a high quality, customer focused catering service is delivered. This includes pupils, teaching staff and visitors. In addition to the challenges of managing the business on a day to day basis, you will be required to improve and develop the service to meet the changing customer needs. Hours range from 20 - 35 per week

Cook
As a cook you will help ensure that a high quality, customer focused service is delivered. You will assist the Catering Supervisor / Manager in the preparation and service of food and assist with menu planning and stock control. You will also be involved in providing theme days and other events to promote and develop the service. Hours range from 12 ½ - 25 per week.

Assistant Catering Manager
Being an assistant catering Manager you will be responsible for the production and service of food to the highest standard. You will assist the Catering Manager in ensuring that a high quality customer focused catering service is delivered to pupils, staff and visitors. You will oversee the operation of the service and provide cover for the duties of the Catering Manager in her/his absence. Hours 25 -35 per week.

Catering Manager (High schools)
This post provides an opportunity for a competent supervisor to take responsibility for the branded catering operation at one of our busiest high schools. In addition to the challenges of managing the business on a day to day basis, you will be required to improve and develop the services to meet changing customer needs.

Relief Customer Service Assistant
As a relief customer service assistant you will be asked to provide cover for permanent staff who are away ill or on a course. Your duties will be serving food, cleaning dining areas and washing up.

We are always looking for staff who want to work 2-3 hours per day.
