High Fivers News
The High Fiverīs Club

Welcome to the High Fivers Club.  It is full of fun things for you to do and is especially for the children in Knowsley.  You can enter competitions, read stories, answer questions and read our latest news.  We will tell you what we have been up to and what is going on in Knowsley.

Christmas is just around the corner. It's such an exciting time! However it can also be a very busy and sometimes expensive time so the High Fivers have created ten top tips to make sure this year's Christmas is a great success.

1. Why not offer to help your mum or dad make the Christmas cake? You can learn about cooking as well as being a great help.
2. Instead of buying Christmas cards, why not make your own? It's really easy and you can show your friends and family just how much you care with personalised cards for everyone. Start nice and early though as it can be time-consuming.
3. No need to buy expensive decorations when you can make your own. It's easy to make things like paper snowflakes, fairies or crackers that can look really effective.
4. Stuck for ideas on what to buy people? Have you thought about giving a homemade gift instead of buying them? There are lots of websites with ideas of what to make on the internet. You can have fun making them too.
5. Help your mum or dad put the decorations up, it's a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.
6. An advent calendar is a really good way of counting down to Christmas. That way you can see exactly how many days it is till the 25th December by how many windows there are to open.
7. Do you still have last year's Christmas cards in a drawer somewhere? Why not cut them up to make your own tags for presents? You will need adult assistance to help you with the scissors.
8. Do you know how much time and effort goes into making your delicious Christmas dinner? Why don't you find out more about it and ask if there are any jobs you can do to help? It'll be even tastier after all your hard work.
9. Your parents or guardians will no doubt be busy at times getting ready for Christmas Day so why not visit the funfair on this website and play some of the games. It's a great way to beat any school holiday boredom.
10. You can win board games for the whole family by entering our Christmas competition here in the High Fivers Club. Enter now.

So all that's left is for me to say is have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Love the High Fivers
