School Meals in Knowsley are designed to exceed the requirements of the Government's National Nutritional Standards.
Our new primary school menus have been specifically planned to achieve the following outcomes:
• to increase the number of freshly cooked dishes and the use of organic produce where possible.
• to increase the amount of fresh vegetables
• to encourage increased milk drinking and calcium intake
• to make a positive contribution to the Council's obesity strategy
The service aims to provide excellent value for money and to give parents the peace of mind in knowing that children can enjoy a nutritious meal every day. We also understand how important it is for pupils to enjoy their meals, and for lunchtime to be a fun experience.
If your child has a special dietary requirement, that you would like to discuss further you can call 0151 443 2454.
