The Take 5 Crew wants you to grow up to be strong, fit and healthy. We’ve written some Top Tips to help you achieve this!

Top Tips

  1. Make sure you have breakfast before you come to school. It will help you to concentrate and enjoy your lessons more.
  2. Eat a varied and balanced diet. There is no such thing as a bad food, it just depends how much of it you eat. Have a look at the “Balance of Good Health” food wheel to see how much of each food group you should eat every day.
  3. Exercising and playing sports will keep your body trim and your heart healthy. You should try for an hour each day.
  4. Try and drink eight glasses of water every day. Don’t wait until you feel thirsty, drink it regularly through the day.
  5. Eat five portions of fruit or vegetables every day. Try as many different ones as you can, they all count. They taste great and are really good for you!
  6. Try not to eat too much sugary or sweet foods like chocolate and sweets as they can be really bad for your teeth.
