Bonfire Night Chilli
To warm you up on Bonfire Night...
Ingredients
400g/1lb lean beef or turkey mince
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic
400g tinned tomatoes
400g tinned kidney beans (or mixed beans if preferred)
1tsp chilli powder (or more / less to taste)
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp olive oil
Black pepper
Method
Heat oil in large saucepan and fry garlic and onion gently for a couple of minutes.
Put in mince and cook until lightly browned.
Add tinned toms, chilli and cumin powder and seasoning.
Bring to boil and simmer for 30 mins, stirring occasionally.
Then put in the kidney beans, and simmer for 15-20 mins, stirring occasionally.
Note: you can add extra spice if you wish for adult portions.
