Super Stu wants you to grow up fit and healthy so here are his top tips to keeping you growing right and feeling bright:-

  • Make sure you have breakfast before school; it helps you concentrate and enjoy your lessons more.
  • Eat a balanced diet, have different types of foods and eat the right amount. See the balance of good health food wheel.
  • Exercise regularly, it helps to keep your heart healthy.
  • Try to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables each day, it's yummy and good for you. 
  • Try not to eat too much sugary or sweet foods like chocolate bars and sweets, as they can harm your teeth
  • Remember to brush your teeth thoroughly at least twice a day
  • Drink at least 6 glasses of water every day to keep your body hydrated
  • Try a new food
  • Don't snack between meals
  • Try to have foods with fibre in such as whole grain bread and jacket potatoes because they help you digest your food easier
  • Eat foods that contain Vitamin C such as cabbage and strawberries because it help your body to fight off nasty coughs and colds
  • Have a school lunch!

Fruit Kebabs
You will need:

  • Cocktail sticks
  • 2 satsumas
  • 1/2 honeydew melon skinless and seeded
  • 1 small bunch of seedless white grapes
  • 1 small carton of washed and halfed strawberries
  • 1 small pot of yogart or fromage frais

How to Prepare:

  1. Remove the grapes from their stalkes
  2. Peel the satsuma's and separate into individual segments
  3. Cut the melon into small cubes
  4. Thread pieces of fruit in turn onto a cocktail stick
  5. Serve on a plate with a spoonful of yoghurt for dipping
