Parents and their children who are starting school in September will be presented with ‘new starter packs’.  Funded through the transforming school meals grant the packs will give parents information about schools meals including:

• A brochure on school meals including information about our website
• How to apply for free school meals
• An example of our menu

Children will find included in the pack:

• A book mark
• Stickers
• A height chart featuring our very own ‘Herbie’

During June and July parents and their ‘new starter’ children are invited into school and are given the opportunity to find out more about the school and in many schools they are invited to stay for a school lunch. We hope the information provided will encourage more pupils to stay for lunch when they start in September and for parents, the information gives our contact details should they have any concerns or queries.
