The closing date for the first competition on www.mycookeryclub.co.uk is looming but there is still time for you to get your entries in.
My Cookery Club is North Yorkshire County Caterers' latest website to promote healthy eating to children and parents in North Yorkshire. It is an online cooking resource full of recipes, cooking tips, message boards, nutritional advice, a cooking quiz, recipe podcasts, and much more.
Every month there is the chance to win £200 of vouchers for the high street to buy cooking or kitchen equipment simply by submitting your favourite recipe. Each year all the monthly national winners will be entered into a competition to win £500 of travel vouchers.
It is really simple to enter. All you have to do is choose a recipe; it could be a main course, dessert or vegetarian option. Then enter the details of the recipe, including pictures if possible, on the online entry form at http://www.mycookeryclub.co.uk/northyorks/competitions/submit_recipe/ .
The closing date for entries is Tuesday 31st July but there will be a new competition every month so if you don't win this month you can try again in the future, perhaps with a new recipe.
Rose Bruce, Marketing Officer, North Yorkshire County Caterers said: "You may have a recipe that's been in the family for generations, one that you enjoy cooking with your child or simply what you are making for tea this evening. Whatever the recipe is you will have the chance of being a local winner and could even go on to win the national competition. The site also has lots of activity sheets and other fun things for children to keep them entertained during the summer holidays. Why not visit the website now to see the range of recipes and cooking tips for you and your child to cook together?"
