Children in Scarbrough have been busy making biscuits during the school holidays.  This cooking session was held at the Busy Bees holiday playscheme based at Surestart, Briercliffe, Scarborough.

Gavin, who is a Training Manager for North Yorkshire County Caterers ran an interactive cookery session on making biscuits with lots of healthy toppings.

The children really enjoyed the experience and produced biscuits they were able to eat and take home for the family to try.  The delicious toppings included cranberries, blueberries, sultanas, banana,sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, poppy seeds and apricot.

The children made lots of designs and shapes with the toppings so it was also a chance for them to be creative.
