Four lucky children across North Yorkshire have won a fantastic prize this Christmas. A joint competition was run by North Yorkshire County Caterers and the Grand Opera House in York. Children had to colour in a picture of Cinderella and Prince Charming and create a menu for the ball. The prize was a family ticket for this year's pantomime and a visit from one of the characters to the child's school.
Carl Davies, aged 8, from Kirkby and Great Broughton School was the first child to be presented their prize. He was presented with his prize by Simon Grant, of CBBC television. Simon plays Buttons in the pantomime and lots of children gathered round him to get his autograph. Carl and Simon are in the first photo with Carl's teacher and school cook Melita Atkinson.
