Staff from North Yorkshire County Caterers recently attend the LACA conference (Local Authority Caterers Association) in Birmingham. 

But for one employee it was more than just seminars as Sharon Armstrong entered the Finishes Touches Awards.  Sharon, who is Assistant Catering Manager for Scarborough and Whitby entered the novelty cake section of the competition and was awarded a Gold Award.  She created a Year of Food and Farming themed cake, which you can see in the picture.
