Chocolate Slice

Makes 20 Slices

250g Butter

1 Cup of sugar

3 tablebspoons Cocoa

1 Egg Slightly beaten

2 Cups desiccated coconut

2 Cups Cornflakes, crushed

2 Cups plain flour

2 Teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoons vanilla essence

1)  Turn oven to 180 degrees, lightly grease 30 x 20cm tin

2) Very gently melt the butter in a big pan.

3) Take it off the heat, and whisk in the sugar and cocoa.

4) When the sugar is dissolved add egg, and stir in coconut and cornflakes.

5) Stir in flour, baking powder, and vanilla.

6) Stir it all well until it is completely mixed.

7) Press it all firmly into the tin, using your hands.

8) Bake for 20 minutes. When cold cut into slices. You could decorate with butter icing or melted chocolate.
