New books are on the shopping list for one lucky pupil in Nottingham City who won the latest competition on www.myschoollunch.co.uk/nottingham.
Kyle Tomlinson, from Lenton Primary School, answered a series of multiple choice questions correctly in Cyril’s Club on the website. All the answers to the questions could be found by reading the story ‘A quiet Saturday night in’, in the kids section. Pupils then had to answer a tie-breaker about what character in a book they would like to be.
The reading related competition was launched to coincide with World Book Day on 1st March and the prize was £30 of book tokens.
Jacquie Blake, School Catering Operations Manager, Neighbourhood Services said: “We always have a competition on the website and they are very popular with children in Nottingham. The website encourages children to learn about food and healthy eating and there is a range of educational games for them to play. There is also information for parents including the latest school meal menu. Why not encourage your child to enter the current competition, which is all about the funfair games?”
