Nottingham City's school catering service celebrated a year of outstanding success at their Star Awards Evening. The event was held at Notts County Football ground on 23rd November and over 150 attended. The awards are in their fourth year and are given to catering staff, teams and suppliers who have done that little bit extra during the last twelve months.
There are eight awards in total and the winners were:
- Outstanding Customer Service in Primary Schools - St Augustine's RC
- Outstanding Customer Service in Secondary Schools - William Sharp
- Going the Extra Mile Award in Primary Schools - Winner Springfield and Runner-up Highwood Player Junior and Infants
- Going the Extra Mile Award in Secondary Schools - Fairham Cook Chill Unit
- The Gold Award for Primary Schools - St Teresa's R C
- The Gold Award Secondary Schools - Elliot Durham
- Supplier of the Year - J G Gill Fruit and Vegetables
- Contractor of the Year - Quantaqua (Cleaning and Maintenance of Fans and Ducting
Jacquie Blake, Operations Manager, said, "All the winners have had an astounding year and these awards are our way of saying thank you to all the staff involved. It was a fantastic evening that was enjoyed by everyone and it was a wonderful showcase of all the good work that is undertaken everyday across all the schools in Nottingham City".
