Menus
Children choosing from the salad bar

Do you know what's on the menu in Salford?

Children in Salford are able to enjoy a healthy and tasty school meal at lunchtime. All our menus are planned to meet the Government Nutritional Standards and help promote health and wellbeing in the City of Salford.

A two course school meal is offered daily. Children will be able to choose from two hot main courses or a sandwich/salad option and then a choice of two desserts. A selection of salads, bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt and chilled water are also available daily.

All our menus have recently been revised to use low fat, low salt and reduced sugar. Plus most of hot food is oven baked. The menus also include more fruit and vegetables than ever before.
If your child requires a special diet, please contact the Cook Supervisor at your child's school to discuss their needs further.

Below you can see an example of our menu. You can also download a copy of our current menu to print out and refer to at home.
