The National Schools Fruit Scheme which is a government initiative aims to provide every child (between the age of 4 and 6) a free piece of fruit each school day.      This is part of a national campaign to improve the diet of the children.

99% of the schools in Salford have taken this initiative, this will help with the  children's diet  and is good the City of Salford.
