Somerset County Services (SCS) provide cleaning and catering services to local educational establishments and are a trading department of Somerset County Council.

SCS SERVICE PROMISE
SCS is proud to be the provider of your catering services. ‘Customer satisfaction’ is our aim and SCS customers can expect:
- To be made to feel welcome by helpful, friendly staff and be served as quickly as possible.
- A variety of well-presented, value for money food and beverages, which have been chosen to suit customer preferences and pocket.
- Healthy options to be available. We can also provide for those customers with special diets.
- To be encouraged to give comments and suggestions about how we can improve our services.
DESCRIPTION OF OUR CATERING UNITS
We operate production kitchens in Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools and also provide a catering service for all personnel based at County Hall, Taunton. We also provide a catering service to;
- Nurseries
- Primary schools (without on-site kitchen facilities)
- Luncheon clubs
- Function catering is also an important part of our business
