Starting scondary school can be a very daunting experience but we hope to calm any nerves by explaining what you can expect at lunch time.
There are some excellent choices available on the menu:
You can choose from traditional main courses, hot snacks, jacket potatoes with various fillings, fresh salads, and a selection of sandwiches as well as a wide selection of desserts, fresh fruit medleys and drinks.
Just simply make your choices and then pay at the till for the food you have chosen. Visit the ‘menu's and prices' page for up to date information. You have to take dinner money every day, not like at primary school where you took the money to the secretary on a Monday.
For those students who are entitled to free meals they can purchase a meal in exactly the same way as every other student, by selecting items from the food counter to the value of £1.80
The focus carries on from the primary lunch service and healthy eating, but there is a lot more choice of what to eat during the school day.
Most of our secondary schools have breakfast clubs and morning break services.
For more information about our services, download our Brochure here .
We also have an exciting new website for Secondary School students in Stockport. It has great competitions, podcasts, blogs, funny videos, message boards, and voting. You can also see what is on the menu. Visit the site at www.yougo4it.co.uk/stockport
