All food items are subject to availability and may vary in certain schools. Food items are oven baked where possible and no salt is added into the cooking process.

Brown rice is used in our dishes
Wholemeal flour is used in our cookies, pizza bases and pastry
Semi-skimmed milk is used for cooking and drinking
An extensive range of breads are used for Deli Bars including wholemeal, sun dried tomato, olive bread etc. and wraps (tomato & spinach)
At least two low fat fillings are available daily for sandwiches, salads or jacket potatoes
We only use tuna in brine
We use free range eggs in all our home made dishes
Our mayonnaise is made with free range eggs and is used for sandwich fillings, the salad bar and in jacket potato fillings
We use whole wheat pasta in lasagne, spaghetti etc
We use MSC fish (which meets the Marine Stewardship Council accreditation)
During the growing season our fresh fruit, vegetables and salad produce is sourced from regional farms in Cheshire, Lancashire and the Fylde Coast
Our menus now feature products accredited with The Red Tractor and the British Quality Standard
We have developed a series of food zones in schools such as Panini Bars, Pasta 'n' Pizza, Cool Zones - including sandwich, deli and salad bars
Our daily meal deals include healthy eating options
We are currently working with secondary school, students, parents, governors, catering staff, teachers, Food Ambassador, home economics departments and the Primary Care Trust to develop S.N.A.G. (School Nutritional Action Groups) in secondary schools.
We work with the schools in order to develop healthy eating strategies and policies.
