Our menus
We have embraced the Government's legislation and created a new nutritionally based 4 week menu. If you roll your mouse over the menu items below you will see we have provided nutritional information about the food served.
To help everyone understand the importance and relevance of this information you can download the guidance notes.
We have made major developments in providing high quality menus that not only give a balance of nutrients, but include foods that children will actually eat and enjoy. All menus now contain more fruit, salad and vegetables than ever before.
We offer a wide range of informed food choices to satisfy our diverse customer base. A traditional 2 course hot meal, jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, a wide selection of salad from the salad bar and in some schools a selection of sandwiches served on a variety of breads including wraps. This is accompanied by a dessert or fresh seasonal fruit from our infamous fruit platters and a drink. We are confident that school meals in Stockport continue to improve as the importance of healthier eating and exercise becomes embedded in our community. For a much more detailed explanation of the new menu and how the Government standards affect the meals we provide you can download the latest 2011/12 brochure, School meals in Stockport just keep getting better.

You can view and print a copy of the 4 week menu here. It is our aim to source products as locally as possible in order to reduce food miles and protect the environment. For an explanation of these see the reverse of the 4 week menu.
Some aspects of the new menu include:
- More fruit and vegetables included in every meal
- More oily fish
- Healthier drinks
- No confectionery or savoury snacks will be served at all
- We do not deep-fry foods
We have also created a Themed Menu Events Calendar, you can download upcoming themes for 2011/12.
