General Catering Assistant Current rate of pay £7.02 per hour (Includes holiday pay supplement)
You will help to prepare and serve meals, setting up the dining areas and wash up. These are ideal roles for people who can work effectively as part of a team, have a flexible approach to work and who can communicate effectively with staff and pupils. Whilst knowledge of basic food hygiene principles is desirable, we do provide training.
Assistant Cook
You will assist the Head of Kitchen with cooking, serving meals, washing up, book-keeping and training. You will also assist other staff with special functions and training days, covering for the absence of the Cook Supervisor. Some cash handling may be required.
Head of Kitchen
You will be responsible for the general supervision of the kitchen and staff as well as cooking, serving of meals and cleaning. You will also complete administration work in relation to the running of the kitchen. You must have large scale catering experience, backed up by NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent level of experience, together with the ability to lead and motivate a team and have an adaptable, flexible approach to work. You will need skills to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
