On 30th September 2009, schools across Surrey were invited to take part in a Sustainable Seafood Lunch, to promote the work of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Our aim was to serve as many Sustainable Seafood Lunches as we could, and added together with other partners, set a World Record.
We have had a count up, and we served 10, 749 fish lunches on the 30th; that's over 32,247 fish fingers eaten in one day!
We'd like to say a big Thank You, and Congratulations to everyone who took part, and we're hoping to repeat the success of this years event next year, when perhaps we can break the World Record.
You can read more about the event and find out more about the work of the MSC on their website: http://www.msc.org/cook-eat-enjoy/lunch
