Mighty Max and the Magnificent Seven are on a mission to keep you healthy. Here’s some advice from each one of them:
Mighty Max: It’s always good to eat a balanced diet. The Balance of Good Health food wheel will help to show you what I mean. Balance healthy eating with regular exercise to become fit and strong like me.
Alpha Vitamin: Vitamins help your immune system fight off disease. They also help to improve the strength of your bones, your eyesight, your skin and even your mood. Make sure you eat plenty of fruit and vegetables to get your fair share of vitamins.
Rocky Mineral: Fruit and vegetables are also good sources of minerals. Minerals have many of the same benefits as vitamins but work in a different way, that’s why it’s important to have both vitamins and minerals.
Hubble Fat: Fat can provide energy for growth, but you don’t want to much of it. So try not to eat too many cookies like me!
Pluto Protein: Protein helps to strengthen your muscles. If you do lots of exercise like Mighty Max, then eating protein can help to make you stronger and fitter. Protein can be found in meat, nuts and seeds.
Miranda Carbohydrate: Carbohydrates provide energy, like fat, but they don’t have so many health issues as fat. When you are young and still growing, you need lots of carbohydrates, so eat potato, bread, pasta or rice with your lunch.
Orion Fibre: Fibre is found in wheat and wholemeal products like bread and flour. It helps you to digest your food easier and it makes it easier to go to the toilet.
Triton Calcium: Calcium strengthens bones and teeth. It can be found in milk, cheese, yoghurts and all other dairy products. Make sure you have some of these every day.
