Why should I have a School Lunch?

The food you eat gives your body the energy and materials it needs for you to grow and be healthy.

Your food is like batteries ... if you put the wrong batteries in your toys, or if you put them in the wrong way round, your toys won't work.  In the same way, if you don't eat the right foods, or eat them the right way, your body won't work so well.

The meals on the menu at your school are designed to make sure that you get everything you need in just the right amount.

If you have any comments or complaints about the food in your school (or anything else at school) you can download a special form to fill in and hand in to your school council.  Just click here to download it.

Find out more about eating the right foods in the right quantities on the Take Care page.
