Reporting to the Facilities Manager the post holder will support the operational and financial management of the kitchen along side the production supervisor
Duties Include
- Induction to training staff.
- Organisation and supervision of staff and staffing.
- menu planning, portion control and food ordering
- Skilled cooking activities with a full range of meals
- To organise, supervise and plan work rota's
- Accurate record kepping of food stock
- Ordering of cleaning and light equipment
- Inputting, consolidating, record keeping and banking of all monies
- Control of hygiene, health and safety, legal and fire regualtions and security with the area of work
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and safe to use
- To attend training courses
- To be able to assist any unit within the Borough of Telford & Wrekin
- Developing and promoting the service in conjuction with the Area Management Team and Head teacher
- Any other reasonable instructions connected with Education Catering Services as notified by any person with the necessary authority
