Primary schools in Telford will be given a different kind of menu when they return in September.  This menu will contain Healthy Rewards for schools that increas the take-up of school meals.

So what's on the menu?

Each school will gain a Reward point for serving more meals than last term.  These points can be exchanged for sports coaching for the school or other similar sports or arts based activity.  Additional points can be earned for theme days or for having parent events that publicise the school meal service.

There will also be spot Rewards for children new to school meals and for children who try new healthy dishes.  We are also looking to support school councils as they work to support the Healthy Schools programme.  Full details will be sent directly to Headteachers and we hope all schools will take part in the scheme.
