School meals food production supervisors undergo three days of what has become known as "Trevor Training" three times a year.
Trevor Hancock is a local Executive Chef with over 25 years experience in Haute Cuisine. His focus for training this summer was classic sauces, bread making and summer and winter salads. Look forward to banana and honey bread, courgette and herb loaf, foccaccia bread with cheese and rosemary and lots more come September.
Quick Snack Recipe
- BLT Pitta Pockets (serves 4)
- Lean Bacon - 112 grams
- Low Fat Mayonnaise - 2 tspns
- Tomato - 112 grams
- Lettuce - 55 grams
- Wholemeal Pitta Bread - 2
Grill the bacon.
Chop the lettuce and tomato and mix with the mayonnaise.
Chop the bacon and add to the mixture.
Cut pitta in half and fill.
