Schools in Wales have not yet implemented healthy eating standards as schools in England have since last year. Early in 2008 a set of healthy eating standards which do not reach as far as the ones in England will be trialled in only a limited number of pilot schools before being rolled out to all schools. By the time schools in Wales have made their first steps towards improved healthy eating standards, schools in England will be close to completing their transition to the full set of healthy eating standards.
