| The packed lunch from home sometimes seems the cheapest option. This is not always the case as many packed lunch costs are hidden in the weekly shop. Then you have to remember about the time it takes to prepare, clean up and the occasional rushes to the local shop because you have run out of something. |

| Going home may be suitable for those that live near school but it could be more work for you and disruptive for your child, especially if their friends are staying at school. Lunch times are great for helping children to learn about playing and interacting together. |
