How much is a school meal? How do I pay?
The current price of a school meal is £1.65.  Payment can be made weekly, monthly, half-termly or termly … it really is up to you!  All payments are entered into our cashless payment system so there is no need for your child to carry cash around during the school day.  For more information and to answer any questions you have about payment please read the Guide to the Cashless System.

What will my child have at lunch time?
This term sees the introduction of a set main meal, which includes a main protein item, two carbohydrates, freshly baked bread, two vegetables, a freshly prepared salad bar and a choice of desserts.  A daily and weekly menu are prominently displayed in your child’s school or you can download the current menu for your child’s school by visiting the Menu page on the My School Lunch Telford website.

How do you encourage children to adopt a healthy lifestyle?
The main My School Lunch Telford website is used to promote the connection between a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.  We are sponsors of David Davies, the Welsh swimmer who won gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, and his dedicated area of the My School Lunch Telford website focuses on the contribution his diet makes to his ability to compete at a professional standard.  An animated demonstration teaches children how to do each of the four main swim strokes while regular diary updates allow children to follow David’s progress as he prepares to compete in various championships and copes with any problems that arise along the way.

What if my child has special dietary requirements?
We make provision for all special dietary requirements, whether these are based on health reasons, religion or personal choice.  Just ask for a special dietary requirement application form and return the completed form to us.  We will then work with you to negotiate an appropriate menu for your child.  More information on our provision for special dietary requirements is available in the Cultural and Dietary Awareness brochure.
