Tis the season to be jolly and enjoy the festive season in Tower Hamlets schools.
Schools across the borough are having their Christmas Lunches. Some schools joined in the festive season as earky as 6th December 2007.
We visited English Martyrs primary school on 12th December 2007 as they were about to tuck into their their Christms Lunch. There was so much on offer such as Roast Turkey, Roast Parsnips, Brussels Sprouts, Christmas Pudding and an Ice Cream Christmas Log.
The school decorated their hall with Christmas decorations setting the scence as well as playing Christmas caroles whilst the children were enjoying their lunch.
This year Children's Services Contract Service created a competition to compliment the Christms lunch. Children across the borough were given Christmas activity sheets to fill and once sent back would be judged to see who would win the overall borough prizes. The prizes on offer are 2 scooters, 2 DVD players and a CD Player as well as loads of colouring pens and pencils for the runners up.
