Menus
Selection of salads

At Westminster City Council we are proud of the food we serve to children in our Primary, Nursery and Special Schools and we ensure the food meets all the required Government nutritional standards. The menu runs over a four week cycle and is reviewed each year. It is diverse and tries to reflect the cultural and religious needs of the school population. For example in some schools a Halal alternative dish is available.

The cost of a school meal for nursery and primary aged children from September 1st 2010 is £1.75. For secondary aged children attending a special school the cost is £1.80.

The menu in Primary and Special Schools allows a choice to be made each day between three main courses, one of which is always suitable for vegetarians and two desserts one of which is always fresh pieces of fruit. The other dessert is fruit based and either hot or cold. Children in nursery schools and nursery classes attached to Primary Schools have a choice of two main courses with a fruit based dessert or fresh fruit. Nursery "bites" such as carrot, peppers and celery are also provided. Schools have the opportunity to make changes to the core menu to better meet the needs of their pupils.

School Meals Menu Choice

Primary schools in Westminster that are part of the City Council's School Meals Contract can choose to have to a two or three choice menu.

The new school meals menu, Select Menu 2010/2011, has been printed with three options for parents and carers to view including the Steamplicity menu for those schools that do not operate the conventional menu. Listed below are the schools and their menu choice.

The menu can be viewed by going to the link on the menu page and selecting which menu choice meets the needs of your child's school.

Please contact either Chartwells or the City Council (see contact page) if you require any further information regarding a particular school.
